CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) – A downtown Cheyenne beauty salon is giving
free makeovers to employees of surrounding businesses who then
become walking advertisements.
     Avalon Hair Design embarked on the plan by inviting employees at
Rubyjuice Fruit and Smoothies to a free makeover as part of a
marketing campaign.
     Salon owner Dominic Valdez says he hopes to partner with other
downtown businesses to showcase available styles.
     Rubyjuice owner Jay Harnish says the promotion seems to be
working because customers have been grabbing the Avalon business
cards.
