Wyoming and Air Force play for the 100th time

     LAS VEGAS (AP) – The Wyoming Cowboys open the Mountain West

Conference basketball championship by playing Air Force for the

100th time.

     The game is set to tip off at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Thomas &

Mack Center in Las Vegas.

     The No. 8 seeded Cowboys are currently 10-20 overall and 3-13 in

the league. The No. 9 seeded Falcons are 9-20 overall and 1-15 in

league games.

     The winner of the game will advance to the quarterfinals to play

No. 1 seeded New Mexico.

     The Cowboys and Falcons split their two previous meetings this

season.
