LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) – Wyoming basketball player Desmar Jackson is

one of only 20 freshmen from across the nation to be named to the

He joins the likes of Kentucky’s John Wall, Eric Bledsoe and

DeMarcus Cousins, as well as Kansas’ Xavier Henry on the team.

Jackson, of Warren, Ohio, led the Cowboys in scoring with an

average of 11.8 points a game.

Jackson scored in double figures in 11 of UW’s last 12 games and

averaged 18.5 points a game during that stretch.

He was selected third team all-conference.

The CollegeInsider.com Freshmen All-America Team is selected by

Division I coaches and NBA scouts, as well as the
