Wyoming defense picks up turnovers

LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) – After creating just four turnovers in its first six games, Wyoming has produced five in its last two.      It is a stat that bodes well as the Cowboys enter their final four-game stretch needing four victories to earn a bowl bid.      The plus-five margin over the past two games has yet to lead to a victory, but there’s no hiding the impact they had.      Two of UW’s three interceptions in a 30-6 loss to Utah came in the end zone, keeping points off the scoreboard.      At BYU, the Cowboys’ defense put the points on the board, scoring on an interception return.      Senior linebacker Brian Hendricks tells the Casper Star-Tribune that the Cowboys need to start getting wins out of its improved turnover margin.      —      Information from: Casper Star-Tribune – Casper, http://www.trib.com … Read entire article »
