Sean Leslie Garner obituary
Hudsonresident, Sean Garner past away at is
home January 17, 2012. He was 68 years old. Sean was born in Pawhuska, Oklahoma
July 30,1943. He served in the United States Army from 1963 to 1965. In 1966 he
married Sharon Funderburk. He began his career with Safeway in 1970, and was
transferred to the Safeway store in Lander in 1979. He retired from Safeway
after 33 years in 2003. Shortly after his retirement he went to work for
Wal-Mart in Riverton, where he was employed until his death. Sean enjoyed rock
hunting, fishing and hunting. His family was the biggest enjoyment in his life.
When he wasn’t working he was always finding ways to spend time with his
children and grandchildren.
Sean was preceded
in death by his mother, stepfather, two brothers and two nieces. He is survived
by his wife Sharon, son Jeff, daughter & husband Shawna and Rick Filman,
Grandsons Joshua Filman, Thomas Filman, Austin Filman, Tyler Bultman and one
great grandson, sisters Patricia Meyer of Lander, Eunice Rankin, Edith Sampson,
Alena Miller, and Mary Keiffer all of Oklahoma, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at the Chapel of Mount Hope in Lander with graveside
services to follow. A pot-luck luncheon will follow the services at the Lander VFW post.
