Riverton Police need your help to find suspect in stabbing
(RIVERTON, Wyo.) The Riverton Police Department is asking for the communities’ help in locating a suspect from the Stabbing and Aggravated Assault that occurred on February 1, 2012.
Just before midnight at the Maverik Store, located at 601 S Federal Boulevard a male entered the store and was bleeding from the chest area. Officers arrived and found two 28 year old males had been the victim of an Aggravated Assault and Battery. One victim had been stabbed several times in the torso and once in the face, while the second victim suffered blunt force trauma to the head. Both victims are from the Riverton area and Investigators feel the release of their names might jeopardize their safety and hamper the investigation. The stabbing victim was transported to the University of Utah Medical Center where he was ultimately released after several days of medical treatment. The victim who was hit in the head was treated and released from the Riverton memorial Hospital.
Investigators developed suspect information and have an active arrest Warrant for 29 year old Thomas Joseph Shakespeare for: Count 1-Attempted Murder in the Second Degree, Count 2-Aggravated Assault and Battery, Count 3-Aggravated Assault and Battery, and Count 4- Battery.
